Also known as Auto-Sanguinous blood therapy is a powerful treatment for autoimmunity or auto-immune dysregulation. It is a simple therapy to administer but not simplistic in its action at all. The practitioner takes a sample of the patient’s venous blood and injects it into a large muscle (typically the gluteal muscle) generally on a weekly basis for a series of sessions. This procedure reactivates the communication between the immune defenses of the blood (B cells) and the immune defenses of the tissues (T cells) thus in a sense “retraining’ the immune system to better recognize the difference between “self” and “non-self” (which the body has lost the ability to do in autoimmunity).
After a series of injections the patient may be prescribed an oral form which is made by preparing a homeopathic remedy from the patient’s own blood sample.
Autoblood can markedly reduce the autoimmune response and its effect maintained by either periodic repeat injections, the oral form, or both.
Of course, the underlying provoking factors should also be addressed which may include toxins, food allergens, undiagnosed chronic infections, and other factors felt to be inappropriately over-activating or otherwise “confusing” the immune system by mimicry and other mechanisms.
